    Link Dump #2

    • Hustle and Code -- Inspiring article about how we should slow down, learn the fundamentals, and hustle.
    • You Try to Live on 500k in This Town (2009) -- Sickening justification for banker executive excess. “People inherently understand that if they are going to get ahead in whatever corporate culture they are involved in, they need to take on the appurtenances of what defines that culture”. <gags>
    • New drug could cure nearly any viral infection -- Somehow I feel this is a surefire way to create some sort of supervirus, but still interesting.
    • Jung Typology Test -- Had not taken this test in years, used to be ENTP, now INFP. That's a big swing!
    • SethBling's Storage-Minecart System (youtube) -- Awesome pez-dispenser like MineCraft storage system.
    • UK riots: David Cameron hints at social media shutdown -- This used to be the type of thing the western world shunned China for. I imagine it will only get worse.
    • Hong Kong Exhange Halted by Online Attack --  Typical news article that contains no technical details. These are the times where I regret blocking myself from Hacker News. :-/
    • Mark Cuban's idea for the Economy -- Interesting idea, not sure how I feel about it. Seems like it's focused on big, old companies but still may be more practical than anything the government could come with.
    • RubyCraft -- A MineCraft world editing tool using JRuby. Looks interesting, but I have not tried it out yet.
    • Anonymous: From the Lulz to Collective Action -- Interesting profile of Anonymous that isn't entirely ridiculous.
    • Interview w. Bun Lai from Miya's Sushi about sustainability -- Bun is my fucking hero. If you live near New Haven and don't regularly visit Miya's, you're missing out.
    • Communications Preferences page for T-Mobile Subscribers -- Apparently you need to opt out if you don't want SPAM text messages. This page will let you do that.
    • The difference between Ruby's two different block styles -- Good example!
    • We forget that open source is made of people  -- Sometimes our so-called 'community' makes me want to quit coding and sell oranges by the freeway. I'll write more on this when I'm not so worked up.
